The Italian Federation of Scientific Associations for Territorial and Environmental Information held in Bari, from 1 to 4 December 2009, the 13th National Conference ASITA.
The event aims to involve both associations than institutions in disseminating, educational and scientific  circulation of the disciplines related to remote sensing and representation, analysis and management of spatial information and environmental. As part of the 13th edition, among the topics, ample space was given to Remote Sensing, with the presentation of the existing works on the application of remote sensing techniques in the study of forest cover, monitoring and environmental protection.

The River Basin Authority showed some results of the carried out study of water needs of the irrigated summer cultures in the high plain of the Veneto-Friuli, high plain; the study was based on techniques of Remote Sensing and implemented in the context of the European project TRUST - LIFE +.

A poster entitled "Classification and quantification of the main crops irrigated high plains Veneto-Friuli using satellite data (European project TRUST LIFE +)" and the relative article have been presented.
