The RBA (Eng.Cappelletto) partecipated to the14thConference for territorial and environmental informations

 | In November 2010 in occasion of the 14th National Conference ASITA, held in Brescia, during Session 6 - Remote sensing and monitoring the use /land cover (moderator: L. Rossi, SIN, Rome) the River Basin Authority presented a paper titled: "TELERILEVAMENTO E GIS PER LA MODELLAZIONE DEL BILANCIO IDRICO COLTURALE ESTIVO IN ALTA PIANURA VENETO-FRIUlANA (PROGETTO EUROPEO LIFE+ TRUST)".
There was presented the evaluations of the irrigation water needs for the main summer crops and of the water need evolution as in response of the climatic changes, both obtained by processing and spacializing pedologic and meteorologic data; these data are requested to individuate the water flow in the cultivated soil, that was classified and mapped by the means of Remote Sensing techniques. The study results of the water balance, computed using a specific model implemented by GIS tools, were discussed. A prevision of the water deficit as a consequence of the climatic changes was elaborated using specific dataset obtained by climatic scenarios applied on the Mediterranean area for the 20th and 21st century (in accordance with the IPCC scenarios).
