The 3rd summoning discussed: hydrologic model, infiltration measurements, activities advancings (WebGIS and waterneeds), workshop

The third Technical Board met in Venice February 25, 2010.

Ample time was spent updating present operators regards the activity progress and presenting the partners proposals as to the TRUST upcoming events programming. These, in detail, are the topics tackled:


  • The design activities of WebGIS Trust, which, once completed, will be the main tool for users in order to share the project most interesting results. The basic architecture, key features and issues related to the selection and organization of content have been shown (downloadable presentation to the page bottom: P. Eng.  Scarinci - SGI).

  • Campaign measures planning for the characterization of dispersion in groundwater in the study area: the proposed agreement with the Consorzio di Bonifica  (downloadable presentation to the page bottom: P. Eng. Niceforo - CDB Brenta, 2 parts) for the implementation of specific measures to estimate the dispersion in the channel and the characterization of dispersion in the network irrigation was presented (downloadable presentation to the page bottom: P.Eng. Galli and Dr. Marsala - SGI). They were then shown the best methods and the sites identified by the River Basin Authority in order to implement the dispersion measures in the river beds, for which it was proposed to employ innovative investigation techniques (downloadable presentation to the page bottom: Dr. geol. Cimolino).


  • The First Workshop TRUST project, scheduled for May 13, 2010: the conference, designed as the first official appointment for the presentation of work on the project to stakeholders, will be based on a formula that provides original and innovative traveling speakers' ongoing and visit sites of interest at which measurement techniques demonstrations will be conducted in the campaign.

  • The work progress regarding the model of the basin scale hydrological response (action 5), with the presentation of geomorphoclimatic hydrological model, of which were illustrated structure, practical application and first results available (downloadable presentation to page bottom: P. Engs. Monego and Norbiato).

  • The conclusion of the water-needs study activities (action 3): the results will be shared and discussed with stakeholders through a special table dedicated to the issue (downloadable presentation to page bottom: Dr. Pasini).
