Workshop on technical issues related to artificial recharge of aquifers organized fro a group of employees from China

 

On the 14th June 2010, in occasion of the visit of a group of technical and administrative employees from the Chinese Ministry of the Environment, a workshop on technical issues related to artificial recharge of aquifers was  organized.

The first part of the day was held at the River Basin Authority headquarters in Venice, where 2 sessions were organized:

"Management Session" for the analysis of possibilities of integration and application of the TRUST Project in China

"Technical Session" during which the instruments for analysis, processing and dissemination of TRUST Project were shown, in particular:

  1. Mike She as an integrated hydrological modeling system
  2. Geo-morphoclimatic approach for the determination of the hydrological responce of river basins
  3. Remote sensing for the quantification of irrigation water deficit
  4. Integrated WEBGIS platform: iteractive programming

Subsequently, a Practical Session was held in correspondance of two areas of the Project TRUST test  site, with the aim of assessing the effective infiltration::

  1. along the consortium irrigation network, where some wtaering practices and studies had been launched and where geophysical tomographic surveys were in progress (Busta di Montebelluna - TV)
  2. along the Piave River course, where ADCP measurements of water flows were been acquiring (Nervesa della Battaglia - TV).
