Action 1 is a preparatory task aimed at setting up a stakeholders’ group in the project area and making all the necessary project arrangements prior to starting the implementation phase.
Action 1 will inform the stakeholders about the project contents and will build an integrated approach to groundwater management.
This action will start through a workshop where TRUST beneficiaries intend to gain the support of the stakeholders that shall include the bodies in charge of water management within the project area, i.e. Regions, Provinces, Regional Environmental Agencies, municipalities, water regulators (ATOs’ authorities) as well as the various categories of users (irrigation associations, industrial users, water utilities, etc.).
Action 1 will also comprise the preparation and signing of agreements between all project beneficiaries and with the stakeholders and the final adjustments to the project’s work program.
At the end of Action 1, an appraisal of the initial six months of TRUST will be carried out in order to verify that all the preparatory work for the project has been concluded. The conclusions drawn from the initial six months appraisal will go into the inception report that shall contain an assessment and refinement of project objectives and work plan.
Action 1 will last from +0 months to +6 months.
